Pacaya lodge hotel was a beautiful property with a breath taking views. The service from the staff was exceptional and inviting. The rooms were beautifully decorated, well lit, sanitized and squeaky clean. All the rooms have AC installed to keep you cool from the outside heat. Amenities were great, food was delicious and drinks were refreshing. I’ll definitely be coming back!!

Where to start? Hostess was available and helpful but respected our privacy. Arranged taxi for airport. Everything was comfortable, frig available, welcome snacks and food. Fully equipped kitchen, with small convenience store next door. Restaurant right next to property, too. Beautiful art and garden throughout the place. Hammocks by lake with some in shade. Water temp perfect for swimming or relaxing on noodles provided. Highly recommend and very peaceful.

Beautiful location and wonderful staff

We have just left the beautiful Casa Unica. Benjamin, our host/owner, made our stay easy, fun, and relaxing. The property has been infused with Benjamin's love and effort. The gardens are lush and colorful (even during the dry season when we were there). I loved the songs of the birds carried by the lake breeze through our window. We stayed in the small room attached to the main house. It was comfortable and had everything we needed: a walk-in shower, a walk in shower, toilet sink, drawers for clothes, fresh drinking water, and coffee making supplies. There are two other more private casas on the property for rent. They looked lovely. The property is on the lake, offering a pleasant jaunt through the garden and out the gate to get to the water. The property is on the slope of the old volcano crater walls so you can see the lake from everywhere. There are friendly dogs on the property. Benjamin is a beyond 5 star host. He is warm, friendly, informative, and very helpful (as someone who is in the country for the first time). You can have a massage therapist come to the house. We had Manuel come. The massages were excellent and so wonderful to have on the deck outside. Our room came with breakfast. Marta, Benjamin's cook, is sweet and an excellent cook. We loved the fresh omelets, served with beans and rice, avocado, and fresh fruit. There are kayaks and other water toys for your use. The lake is warm enough to stay in all day... but also cool enough to provide relief from the sun. Ask Benjamin about the hike up the volcano slope. You'll see really cool petroglyphs. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Unica if you are looking for a lovely stay at a warm and well cared for home.
