We paid an upgraded price for a balcony room right on the ocean. We were given a balcony with a rooftop and peak a boo view of the ocean.
Our television only had one station
$45 charge for valet parking and they left my car unlocked in the alley most of the night.
I will not use Booking.com or recommend or go to this hotel ever again.

We enjoyed the laid back welcoming energy of the locals as well as other travelers.
Spring time was a better time for us to visit, seemed to be less busy!
We were impressed by the cleanliness' of the streets, parks and beaches as well as appreciated the free local trolley bus that took us back n forth between the south and north areas of Laguna Beach.
So many beautiful things to take in but overall we felt safe and relaxed which gave us a wonderful experience.
We will return to experience everything that we didn't have the time to!

Crowded on weekends, but one of the nicest beaches in the world. The town is being over-run with tourists and the arty vibe is suffering from this. We found the restaurants middling and very expensive. Really recommend visiting off season or during the week.

Felt very safe and there were so many interesting art galleries and eateries in town. Many people had to queue for at least half hour at Gelato Paradiso for the ice cream. We were lucky as there was no queue around 7pm.
We were travelling to Laguna Beach from Bannings. OMG, we were caught in many toll roads. Couldn't pay online as the system didn;t accept rental cars. Set your maps to non-toll roads if you want to avoid these.

We love Laguna beach’s which are stunning n the downtown is very nice with many restaurants n shops. We had breakfast at Moulins a French place which is excellent. We have frequented Laguna beach several times as we love it here. Many beautiful beaches. Heisler park is a very nice Park overlooking the water n have steps down to the coves. Laguna beach also has a free trolley which goes up the coast up to Dana point and into town. Great place!

A fun little beach town with so much to see and do!
A fun little beach town with so much to see and do! I only had one night there, but would love to go back. It's very walkable with lots of restaurants, shops and art galleries. The coast is diverse with plenty of sandy beaches and many rocky areas with tide pools as well.
I treated myself to a 1 night stay for the Pageant of the Masters. The "Free"trolley" in Laguna Beach, Ca., got me to my 2 destinations. I had the queen room with ocean view & balcony. I fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore below me. I slept through the night without ever waking up. I loved the Capri Inn on Laguna Beach so much that I booked two nights to celebrate my birthday & our anniversay. I don't understand the low ratings. I loved it!!!
This listing is a bait and switch. One side is a small boutique hotel called the 14 West, but it is actually connected to an old Hilton Inn, which is run down and looks like a cheap motel. We paid for a $200+ room at the 14 West Laguna Beach but were told to go to the Hilton Inn to check in and we’re given a room at that location, which was old, run down, smelled bad, and the staff seemed to be spraying rooms for bugs.
The room was excellent and well equipped. We loved the ‘Tommy Bahama’ beach chairs and proximity to the beach. The pool area was also lovely. The beach across the road ( via the Montage resort - 3 minute walk) was exceptional. We swam with harbour seals in attendance. Also the Trolley bus ran the length of Laguna beach and allowed us not to use the car for 4 days!! Will return.
Prime location- two minute walk to the beautiful Crescent Bay beach, short drive to downtown Laguna Beach. Room was clean, comfortable and well sized. The owners were incredibly friendly and kind, providing tips on local points of interest. Great that complimentary parking was included too. The price was great for the area. Would definitely stay here again!
The hotel was a great location, right in town; walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants and about 10mins walk from the main part of the beach.
Our room on the (south building) was quiet , clean, organized, and sufficient. It meet our needs. Parking was free and secure which was close to our room.
Majority of the staff was friendly and helpful.
upgraded on arrival to a terrace with a sea view. All staff friendly and courteous, a hotel with team work at the core , remembering your name .
A beautiful boutique, unique hotel with a wonderful beach front and sheltered pool courtyard.
Watching sunset from the hotel was incredible.
Superb relax and recuperate stay for 48hrs, a hotel to book again.
The hotel was great with the patio and the terrace.
We had a welcome wine on the rooftop which was great and they offered us (for free) the opportunity to use the swimming pool and jacuzzi of the hotel just next to it which was super easy and great too. The staff was super friendly and the room was great!
I love how inviting and comfortable that it is.
It is a vintage, retro hotel with a surfer vibe that reminds me of the early days of Laguna Beach.
My room had wonderful views of the beach and was very comfortable to stay in. I loved the hospitality of the staff and how nice the room was to stay in.
Breakfast is very simple coffee and some free pastry. nearby is some excellent breakfast places. The best part of the hotel is the roof bar/restaurant. The absolute best views for sunset. great stafff great drinks and great food... the location is superb very near the beach.
Not going to get a better location for Laguna Beach. I’ve stayed right on the ocean before and it can be a little nerve-racking with the crashing waves, but being just one house away from it made all the difference. Beautiful views and steps to the beach. Fantastic.
This is a gem of a hotel. Staff are all fabulous and look after your every need. Breakfast delivered to your room is an excellent touch and those cookies, I have never tasted anything so awesome! I was upgraded to a suite taking my stay to 10/10.
the view was on the water. Hotel rooms need upgrading. cracks and mold. Had to slam front door to shut closed. The price was too high for the room we were given. I appreciated the kindness and efforts made by Manny and Victoria at the Front Desk.
Having Beach chairs/ umbrella available in the room and Netflix are just icing on the cake to such a beautiful hotel and perfect location. This as been a favorite of mine even before they renovated but the renovations made it even more enjoyable!
The hotel is just as beautiful as in the pictures! The lounge and breakfast areas are beautiful, with wonderful design and a beautiful ocean view. Staff is incredibly nice, always there for you! Complimentary breakfast was a bliss.
Very nice hotel, great location and the parking convenient, eventhough it was a bit expensive in my opinion, but it was better than parking it on the street. Nice pool and hot tub, good ammenities
Had an ocean front room. Was amazing. My family fell in love with laguna beach. The free trolley system made it easy to move back and forth from into town. My entire stay was awesome.
